NATIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR DAY, March 25, 2026.  March 25, 1863, is the day the first Medals of Honor were awarded during the American Civil War.  It recognized individuals who displayed extraordinary heroism and valor, often at the risk of their own lives, and above and beyond the call of duty in combat.

VAF Attends Unaccompanied Veteran Burial Service at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. On Thursday, April 16th, the Veterans Action Foundation attended the services for 2 Army, 2 Air Force, and 1 Marine Corps veterans who were laid to rest.

VAF was invited to attend the Nevada State Bank's "Fiesta of Freedom" luncheon. It is a quarterly event, and each time Nevada State Bank selects a nonprofit organization to spotlight.

FIELD OF HONOR, MONDAY, MAY 25, 2026, AT CORNERSTONE PARK IN HENDERSON. The Veterans Action Foundation and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 730 are again partnering with the City of Henderson for the Field of Honor event.  There will be 500 American Flags placed in Cornerstone Park in Henderson.
